Former Bristol City, Ipswich and Colchester goalkeeper Dean Gerken has launched a brand new Goalkeeper Academy in Bristol on a Friday evening.and is inviting a small number of new goalkeepers in for a free trial session.

The Academy is aimed at talented goalkeepers between 10-16 years old looking to make the most of their potential.

After enjoying a successful career playing nearly 350 professional matches, Dean has decided that it’s time to give back to the city where he enjoyed some of the best days of his career by launching a new weekly academy at the Imperial Sports Ground 3G on a Friday evening.

The Academy is aimed at high-level grassroots goalkeepers who are looking to improve their technical handling, tactical understanding and physical elements of their game. The sessions are designed to complement players’ current training and playing schedules with their schools and clubs.
